LONDON, UK – September 28th, 2023 – Move AI, a platform that enables anyone to capture and create 3D animations from human movement, today announced it has raised a $10M seed round with participation from Play Ventures, Warner Music Group, RKKVC, Level2 Ventures, and Animoca Brands. This funding furthers Move AI’s leadership position in markerless motion capture and advances its products to digitise human motion.

Move AI makes it easy to bring realistic human motion to animated characters by turning 2D video into 3D motion data with proprietary technology that uses advanced AI, computer vision, biomechanics and physics. Typically, 3D character animation is time-intensive and expensive because it relies on manual keyframe animation or motion capture solutions that require costly suits and cameras. With this funding round, Move AI will accelerate the development of its 3D animation solutions powered by AI and hire top-talent across engineering, research, marketing, and sales.

The company has made significant progress in developing and scaling its motion capture products. Their single-camera motion capture solution, Move One, is currently in an invite-only beta, and enables motion capture with just an iPhone. The public can request early access by joining the waitlist, and the public launch will be later this year.
