VireUp secures investment from Startup Wise Guys

VireUp, which digitizes companies’ recruitment processes with its natural language processing technology and analyzes candidate interviews on a sentence basis, completed its first investment round.

There are many financial and moral damages caused by the recruitment processes that take a long time for companies and cannot always give the desired response. While varying by company size and role, statistics from the U.S. Department of Labor revealed that the price of a bad hire is at least 30 percent of the employee’s first-year earnings.

VireUp solves the inefficiency and lack of transparency in the recruitment processes with natural language processing technology, which makes it possible to analyze the interviews of all applicants. While it enables companies to find the most suitable candidate for each position as soon as possible, it also offers a platform for candidates to develop themselves.

VireUp, while actively continuing its activities in Turkey, USA, and UK, optimizes the recruitment process of companies from many sectors such as retail, FMCG, service, and technology. Other sectors that receive intense job applications, especially tourism, transportation, and banking, are among the verticals targeted by VireUp.

VireUp founded in 2019 by Efe Pazarçeviren and Arda Çelebi, currently continues its activities with a team of 6 people.

Startup Wise Guys, Naseem Malik (Co-Founder Vitalize Talent in USA), and a Turkish angel investor participated in VireUp’s new investment round with a company valuation of 3.25 million pounds. The VireUp team will use the investment to increase the capacity by improving the algorithm of the existing product and to reach more customers in the targeted markets by expanding its marketing activities.

VireUp founder and CEO, Efe Pazarçeviren, commented on the investment and the process as follows:

“We are very happy to be included in the Startup Wise Guys network. Focusing on B2B SaaS, Startup Wise Guys provides infrastructure and mentorship that greatly supports VireUp’s goal of becoming a global player.”

Regarding their investment in the VireUp, Startup Wise Guys Partner Günce Önür added:

“Both the participation in the new workforce and the more frequent job changes of individuals today have reached a level that cannot be managed with traditional recruitment processes. At this point, we have full confidence that the VireUp initiative, founded by Efe Pazarçeviren and Arda Çelebi, will make a serious difference in the market.”
