Portaire secures £550K Pre-Seed investment led by QVentures

LONDON, 9 November 2023 – Portaire, a UK-based startup, has successfully raised £550,000 to build a workflow platform for interior designers.

Portaire is creating the future of work for the interior design industry by simplifying every stage of the design process from sourcing to procurement. From discovering beautiful products from top international brands to client presentations and scheduling, Portaire enables a more efficient and collaborative process.

The B2B SaaS platform digitises the entire lifecycle for interior designers, streamlining and simplifying their workflows. The platform also acts as a curated marketplace for high-end suppliers to showcase their product range exclusively to interior designers.

The funding round was led by London-based QVentures and several angel investors also joined the round.

Hailing from Australia, Co-founders, Lori Bolon and Matteo Grand have an international perspective and a deep understanding of the interior design industry.

Lori Bolon, co-founder of Portaire says:

“After years of working internationally as an interior designer, I’m so excited to be a part of the change we are seeing in the industry today. The industry deserves better solutions for their daily tasks and the way in which we collaborate. With years of experience and a deep understanding of the tech required, Portaire is one of those industry-changing moments we are all patiently waiting for.”

Lori, an Interior Architect with 15 years of international industry experience, has worked across projects of all scales and has had work published in publications such as Vogue Living. Matteo is a Product Designer who’s helped companies such as BCG, Audi, and The Daily Mail to better serve their customers by bringing several new products to market.

Robert Walsh, Managing Partner at QVentures adds:

“We are thrilled to support Portaire, a female-founded interior design startup, in their mission to revolutionize the industry with their innovative platform. Their tools will streamline workflows and create efficiencies, transforming the way interior designers work.”

Portaire is the latest company to receive investment from the QVentures Pre-Seed SEIS Fund, which focuses on investing in software-driven solutions disrupting traditional industries through efficiency.
