Growyze secures over £660k Pre-Seed investment from angel investors and SyndicateRoom

Based in London, growyze, a stock management and loss prevention platform designed for busy Food & Beverage businesses in the hospitality and leisure industry, announced their investment of over £660k from angel investors and the Syndicate Room’s Access EIS Fund.

Founded during the pandemic, growyze provides a modern, easy-to-use and user-friendly solution that allows F&B venues to streamline their back of house operations and minimise operational losses. Their mission is to cut manual work and remove the use of excel, pen & paper as much as possible. Simply said: to make stock control a breeze.

The hospitality industry has long relied on paper-heavy processes, spreadsheet dependency and manual input with owners and managers overseeing everything from staff management to stock inventory. While POS systems have greatly improved over the past decade, allowing food and drinks businesses to effectively digitise sales, there has been limited development in software to help the same venues manage other areas that affect profit. With some outdated, complex and expensive solutions out there, the industry needs a simplified and affordable modern solution, easy to use and learn by any hospitality team. The platform is very user friendly and so easy to navigate, it removes all the noise you find with other providers and focuses on what is important.” Managing Director, Whistle Punks.

growyze positions itself as a stock control platform that helps businesses to prevent losses, by automating much of the manual input usually required to see accurate reporting on profitability across the business. Part of which are the 3-way automated validation purchasing, barcode scanning for inventory and simple but powerful reporting which guarantees F&B businesses efficient supplier management, reduced admin time and improved cost control.

“Having worked as a loss prevention manager inside large hospitality chains for 16+ years, I saw firsthand how little automation and technology there was and how much the industry relies on manual input to complete tasks” explains Founder of growyze Kati.“ Given that small losses can make the difference between a successful restaurant and one that goes into administration, there has never been a better time for F&B businesses to gain better visibility over where they’re losing profit, over-ordering or paying for missing items, all in one tool.

With hospitality lagging behind other industries in terms of the tools available this, paired with growyze’s initial adoption by restaurants, bars and hotels chains, has made it a strong investment for any investors.

“What growyze is offering may seem like a simple solution but behind the scenes, we quickly realised that Kati and the team are bringing the very latest workflow automation to an industry that thrives on really small margins…and every penny matters.” Angel investor: Mark McDermott, CEO ScreenCloud

growyze has doubled its growth over the past months and has been using their latest investment to expand product capabilities and help more F&B venues eliminate manual work and save money.
