The Link App secures Seed Follow On investment from GC Angels

The Link App has global plans following investment from GC Angels
The Link App, which is software designed to facilitate communication between law firms and their clients, has received significant investment from GC Angels as part of a larger funding round to accelerate growth and expand globally.

Founded in 2014, the Manchester-based business was set up by qualified solicitor Lauren Riley, who noticed that clients were looking for faster responses from lawyers, more clarity on case progress and an overall better customer service experience.

The app is a downloadable mobile case tracking and management interface that helps lawyers to keep in touch with their clients to reinvent the traditional, transactional experience. It enables instant messaging, document sharing, case updates and secure document storage. Its clients include Browne Jacobson, Keebles, Wakesmith Solicitors and MLP Law.

With this investment, The Link App plans to scale the software globally, working closely with mentors in Australia and the USA. The Link App will also use the funding to continue to enhance the technology on offer to its growing client base.

The Link App has developed a long-standing relationship with The Growth Company, having been one of the first cohort on its Global Scale Up programme. The programme works with start-up businesses, enabling firms to work with trained coaches, build a peer to peer network and receive advice from like-minded companies through tailored trade missions and bootcamp sessions. The firm has also received support from The Growth Company through the Global Scaleup Programme.

Lauren Riley, CEO of The Link App said:

“The funding from GC Angels has allowed our business to invest further into The Link App and expand on a global scale. We have seen the huge impact that the app has already had on our clients and we are really passionate about taking this software further to aid more businesses. Working with Jess, she has shared our vision for the future and it’s great to have an investor on board that is just as excited as we are about the business.”

Jessica Jackson, Investment Director at GC Angels said:

“It’s easy to see how The Link App is making a huge impact in the legal sector through its innovative technology. The product has huge potential to positively impact legal practices worldwide, hence the natural fit with the Business Growth Hub’s Global Scaleup Programme earlier this year. I look forward to continuing working alongside Lauren and the team as their exciting journey continues.”
