Vendoir secures £163K Pre-Seed investment via Crowdcube

UK Event Tech start-up Vendoir aims to become the go-to app for instantly sourcing & booking event vendors with ease. Vendoir recently secured £163K in pre-seed funding to launch their on-demand app in Q3 2021. Their pre-seed round was backed by a US lead investor, along with 334 investors in 29 countries.

Vendoir believes that sourcing a DJ, Host, Photographer etc. for your event should be stress-free, affordable, on-demand & in one platform. The current process is still not as easy as it is to instantly book a taxi using Uber or order a pizza via Deliveroo. Their app will enable customers to search for vendors based on location, budget, dates, and book instantly with a few taps. Vendors will also benefit from other features in the app that will allow them to accept reliable bookings with guaranteed payment protection, receive instant notification, and an integrated calendar so that they never miss a booking. This will provide vendors with have full control of their rates and earnings, growing their business in a much more efficient way.

Co-Founder & CEO Oshoma Zekeri said:

“Our successful crowdfunding campaign will now enable us to build an app that will give customers more than they expect and never stop exceeding expectations because we believe that keeping up with rapidly changing technological environment with great user experience is a necessity”

Co-Founder & COO Yoma James added:

“We have seen virtually every other industry experience some form of innovation from fintech to health tech, but the event industry hasn’t had much innovation despite it being worth £43BN in the UK. We feel that post-pandemic both consumers and vendors are going to be open and relish the prospect of using an app like Vendoir, so the opportunity is massive”

Co-founder & CTO Charles Ofoegbu is seasoned in building and delivering high-performing, scalable, and secure enterprise-grade software solutions. He is leading the App development process which is built on cloud-native, mostly with AWS serverless services; thus, enabling the growing team to primarily focus on the core business functionalities and rapid innovation.
