Leeds digital transformation agency invests in new bookings business Vivify
Vivify Venues has secured investment from digital transformation agency Parallax ahead of its launch in October.
Manchester-based Vivify was established in August to breathe life into under-utilised venues across the country and ensure nobody has far to travel to take part in social or physical activities in their community – a particular focus in the midst of the global pandemic which has put the importance of health and social interaction at the forefront.
The latest £180,0000 investment by Leeds’ award-winning Parallax underpins Vivify’s digital-first strategy and makes them the first business to harness the power of technology to modernise the booking of local venues from schools, sports clubs and community halls and make space easily accessible to local clubs and organisations.
Commenting on the investment, Vivify’s co-founder and Marketing Director Alaine Swis said:
“It is such a shame that so many incredible facilities are currently unable to open for community use. Thanks to the investment from Parallax, our tech platform will match community organisations with their perfect space whilst generating much needed revenue for under-utilised venues such as schools. Social interaction and physical activity are vitally important as lockdown measures are eased and Vivify provides endless opportunities across the UK.”
Dario Grandich, Director of Parallax commented:
“Vivify’s model sits perfectly with our ethos of using digital solutions to transform an industry and create a highly scalable business. We have worked with one of the co-founders for nearly 10 years and felt this was the perfect opportunity to become a partner who can continually develop the platform to drive growth and revolutionise a sector.”
Vivify already employs 9 people and is on a significant recruitment drive in the build-up to the launch of its platform in October.
