HP1T Technologies secures Seed Follow On investment from Prime Advantage Capital Partners
We are delighted to announce a successful fundraise that will help North-East based impact sensor developer HP1T technologies to move its potentially life-saving applications into early commercialisation.
The technology captures accurate data about the time, location, magnitude and direction of an impact experienced by a helmet. Although originally designed to help identify the scope and scale of traumatic brain injuries caused by cycling accidents, several further potential applications have since emerged within other helmet sports as well as the military, emergency services and industrial environments.
HP1T CEO Mike Howes said: “Prime Advantage was invited to take part towards the end of the third round raise and was able to secure investment very quickly. Thanks to their efforts, we’re now able to move forward to the exciting commercialisation stage for the technology.”
Paul Sowerby, Prime Advantage Partner added: “The North of England is brimming with disruptive entrepreneurs and their brave new ideas. Having our new permanent base in the region means Prime Advantage can leverage its experience and network to make a major contribution to the continuing development of the northern powerhouse and its economy. We’re all grappling with some unfamiliar ways of working and a lot of uncertainty about life ‘on the other side’ and yet once again we’ve proved that passion, self-belief and traditional entrepreneurial spirit can win the day.”
