Sapphire Systems secures investment from Horizon Capital

Leading business software provider secures significant investment from Horizon Capital.

London — 6th January 2020 — Sapphire Systems, a provider of world class enterprise software applications and services today announced a significant investment agreement with Horizon Capital. The deal will see Horizon Capital invest in the business software and services provider, supporting its growth trajectory in the coming years. The deal represents an important milestone for Sapphire as the company looks to build upon its exceptional trading performance since its inception, and embarks upon a strategy to accelerate further growth both locally in the United Kingdom and internationally.

“Since founding Sapphire, we have built a strong and scalable business that we believe can be further enhanced through continued organic initiatives and high quality acquisitions,” comments Ian Caswell, CEO, Sapphire Systems. “Horizon’s proven track record in successfully backing technology companies makes them a natural choice as an investment partner for us. I am very excited that with Horizon’s backing and the team’s substantial experience we are well positioned to realise huge growth potential in the coming years.”

“Having followed the enterprise software market with keen interest for several years, we are delighted to be backing Sapphire Systems,” comments Luke Kingston, partner at Horizon Capital. “As a leading global provider of Enterprise Resource Planning and Financial Management Software solutions we are excited by the prospect of working closely with the Sapphire team to develop and grow the business organically and through complementary acquisitions in what is a highly fragmented sector.”

Horizon has a strong background investing in technology and business services companies and this agreement will see Sapphire join a number of technology innovators that already exist within Horizon’s portfolio.

As part of the transaction, Horizon partner Luke Kingston and director Tom Maizels will join Sapphire’s board with immediate effect.

To support its expansion and investor strategy, Sapphire Systems has been provided growth and quality of earnings support by Acresis, the founder focused advisory company.
