Kokoon (Kokoon.io) provides a personalised sleep journey, giving the wearer access to a bespoke intelligent audio library within its sensor enabled headphones and connected app Blackfinch Ventures invests £541,304 into innovate start-up Kokoon. The London based company has
developed the world’s first sleep aiding headphones, allowing customers to take control of their sleep. Kokoon has developed noise cancelling headphones that include bio-sensors, measuring when the wearer falls asleep.

The product is specifically designed to help the customer sleep using its relaxing audio and soundscapes. The connected app, Kokoon Relax, monitors and tracks the users’ sleep journey, providing suggested audio that is specifically designed to protect the user from disturbances throughout the night.

CEO and Founder at Blackfinch Richard Cook, said: “Kokoon has demonstrated incredible traction in this fast-growing sector and we are excited to be part of its journey.”

Kokoon’s product has already launched and has sold well with an impressive £4.5m of sales with over 15,000 products shipped to date. Kokoon will use the investment from Blackfinch to drive marketing and sales of its over-ear headphones, including distribution through key high-street retailers, including Selfridges and John Lewis. It will also use the funds to develop a new in-ear model which it will offer a lower price.

Chief Executive Officer at Kokoon, Tim Antos, said: “We’re delighted to have Blackfinch joining as an investor as we start to scale our business globally, bringing relaxation and sleep to the world.”

Kokoon adapts to you and your environment; quietening as you fall asleep and learning what helps you rest and relax.
